Pastry Girl Cakes is a custom wedding and celebration cake shop. Each cake is baked with the finest ingredients and designed to be the perfect complement to your special day.
Chef and owner Alissa Levine remembers childhood occasions not by the presents she got, but by the flavor of the cake she ate. It was this love for baked goods that kept calling to her while she was in law school. Alissa decided to follow her heart (and sweet tooth) to the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City, where she enrolled in their pastry and baking arts program.
At culinary school, Alissa studied under some of the best in the cake business, including master chef decorator Toba Garrett. She graduated with high honors and went on to intern at How Sweet It Is cake studio on the Lower East Side. Since, she has also studied with sugar flower artist Ruth Drennan.
Alissa decided to open her own pastry catering business in 2008. She spent over a year perfecting her cake recipes, while selling delicious sweets to a local gourmet market and private clients, earning rave reviews from customers.
In 2009, Alissa opened Pastry Girl Cakes to accommodate the demand from customers to create custom-made wedding and special occasion cakes. Delicious, beautiful and one-of-a-kind, a cake from Pastry Girl Cakes is sure to be a treat for both your eyes and taste buds.
